Personal Training is new to Hourglass and can appeal to a variety of people for a variety of reasons.
If you love your classes but just wish you could have a bit more of your instructors attention. Perhaps you think you would benefit from the ongoing support with regards to both exercise and diet, would like to improve confidence or have a specific target.

If you have considered it in the past or perhaps looking forward you have a specific goal or date. Then let us recommend some fantastic PT's to contact. Personal Training is a separate service to your membership and is dealt with directly with the PT of your choice. For information on pricing / availability please contact them directly.

1 - 1 YOGA INSTRUCTOR
Leila discusses your aims and objectives, getting to know areas of weakness or concern, and then develops your practice to optimise your outcomes.

Practice is person entered, and develops incrementally in line with your own growth and ability.
Leila takes care to ensure that you understand the objective, and the steps to achieving it, giving clear instruction and demonstration before each new move. Leila ensures that you understand the muscle groups you are working and that your body in in the correct position, making small adjustments as required, and talks you through the practice . There are always options to allow for individual limitations and abilities.
At the end of practice you always feel better, no matter how bad your day has been.

Mervyn treats each client differently, recognising that what works for one person may not work for another.  He believes that health and fitness goals can be reached through hard, smart training and a little bit of determination.  Since 2010, he has pushed clients past what they thought were their physical limits. 

He believes in intense training programs that are rich in variety, challenging your muscles and cardiovascular system while focusing on the mind/body connection.

1 - 1 YOGA INSTRUCTOR
Private sessions are a great way to begin, build, refresh or reignite your yoga practice. For those new to Yoga the sessions can cover proper alignment for fundamental yoga poses and an introduction to yogic breathing, relaxation and meditation techniques. 1-1 beginner sessions are a great way to build confidence for group classes.

For more experienced yogis, sessions can be tailored to further develop and nurture your practice focusing on areas of your choosing, such as flexibility or core strength.
Perhaps you'd like to learn a yoga practice to benefit, compliment or enhance a sport other than yoga such as running or tennis. Or work therapeutically to help with stress or an area of tightness such as your hamstrings or shoulders.

​Each session is bespoke to you, allowing you to choose anything from a restorative calming yoga flow with lots of gorgeous relaxation up to a powerful core focused yoga flow. 1-1 allows you to fit your yoga practice into your own schedule at a time that suits you in the comfort of the Hourglass Gym.

Chris is an enthusiastic and energetic person who has always been interested in sport and fitness (having played rugby for 12 years and competed in athletics for three years).

He has studied sport and fitness for over 15 years and has over 9 years of experience working the in the health and fitness industry. HE is passionate about helping others achieve their goals, and really cares about helping people improve their lives through fitness.

Chris is also a qualified group exercise instructors, specialising in HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training), core training, Pilates, Yoga and more.
